okay...I've come to realise that most people like to do the talking, and no one seems to be interested in listening. For example, like today, I was sharing something I encountered with a colleague, and I wasn't even done with it, and she started talking about hers. I mean, couldn't you even let me finish what I have to say. And I realised, that on most occasions, when I said something, she wasn't even listening. And that pissed me. I mean, how rude! Not that whatever she said is interesting or anything. Ouch! And I can safely say that this is the littlest thing that can hurt a person's feelings. How would you feel when no one's keen to hear what you say? It's kinda sad don't you think? Perhaps, I'm being OVER-SENSITIVE here... ( I know you're gonna say that.) But please have a heart, for others. The world doesn't revolve only around you. Sometimes, I really give up in doing the talking, thats why over the years I've learned to talk more when I know this person who's willing to listen and talk less when I know the person's capable of having lots to talk about.
The thing is, if you want others to listen to you, then one has to start by listening to others. It's not difficult right?! I'm not trying to preach here and I'm not saying I'm a good listener but there are people who simply love to do the talking and can yak n yak none stop. Its kinda getting on my nerves.
